FAQ

Questions schools ask

Collected from actual demo calls. If yours is not here, send it on WhatsApp and we will add it.

Getting started

Setup is classes, sections, fee heads and your grading scheme, then importing your student list. The work on our side is measured in days rather than weeks. What sets the real date is your own fee cycle, because most schools go live at the start of a month so the old ledger closes cleanly.

Yes, and it is part of onboarding. Import covers students, classes, teachers, staff and subjects, with preview validation, sample templates and row-level errors so you can see exactly which rows failed and why. Send the file in whatever shape it is in.

Two options. An opening-balance import loads carried-forward dues at a cutoff date you choose. A detailed history import brings across old vouchers, fee heads, payments, receipts and advance credit. Batch summaries let you reconcile the totals, and rollback is blocked once later payments depend on the imported data.

No. SchoolPortal runs in a browser. Any office computer that opens Google will run it, and teachers can mark attendance from their phones.

One session covering accounts, class teachers and the principal, each on their own permissions. We stay reachable on WhatsApp through your first full fee cycle, which is when the real questions show up.

Day to day

You need a connection to use the system, so keep a backup on the office machine. Challans and report cards can be printed in advance, which covers most of what an outage would interrupt.

No. Messages go out over SMS and work on any handset. The parent portal is there for families who want it, but nothing depends on a parent installing anything.

No. A teacher starts on an academic permission preset scoped to their assigned classes and sections, which excludes fee collections, payroll and other employees' HR data. Seeing all employee attendance needs an explicit high-risk HR permission.

Yes. A class level can be offered at several campuses without duplicate names, sections sit under the chosen class, and selecting a campus at the top constrains every dependent filter. It is one subscription, not one per campus.

You compose a notice once and target it by campus, class, section or selected students. Before sending you see the parent count, portal readiness and SMS readiness with a sample list. Templates can fire automatically on voucher generation, fee payment and admission.

Data and money

Your school does. Students, fees and results can be exported at any time, and those files remain yours if you ever stop using us.

Fee adjustments, waivers and fine changes stay auditable, salary payment is protected to one per employee per month, and published exam results lock marks until they are unpublished. The point is that changes leave a trace rather than being impossible.

It depends on your student count and the modules you switch on. Our pricing page explains exactly how the number is built, and you get a real quote on the demo call.

An expired subscription revokes school sessions and returns users to the login screen until it is renewed. Export your data while the subscription is active.
